Tidio pricing: what you'll actually pay

Last updated July 3, 2026

Tidio prices around two axes at once: seats and conversation volume. Every tier, including free, caps how many conversations you can have per month, and the AI chatbot that’s central to Tidio’s pitch is billed as a separate add-on rather than bundled into the plan price.

That combination means the sticker price on Tidio’s pricing page rarely reflects what a growing site actually pays. Conversation caps and per-seat multipliers stack quickly once you’re past a handful of monthly chats.

Hidden costs

Conversations are metered on every paid tier

Upgrading doesn't remove the cap, it raises it. Starter caps at 100/mo, Growth at 2,000/mo. Going over means upgrading again, not paying overage.

Lyro AI is a separate line item

Tidio's headline feature, its AI chatbot, isn't included in the base plans. Lyro starts at $39/mo for 50 AI-handled conversations, billed on top of whatever plan you're already paying for.

Per-seat pricing compounds with conversation caps

Starter and Growth are priced per seat, so a 3-person team on Growth pays $177/mo, and that only buys 2,000 total conversations shared across the team, not per seat.

The Growth-to-Plus jump has no middle ground

There's no tier between Growth ($59/seat/mo, 2,000 conversations) and Plus (starting at $749/mo). A site that outgrows Growth has nowhere to land except a 12x-plus price increase.

When Tidio's pricing makes sense

Tidio's pricing makes sense if your traffic is genuinely low and steady, under 100 conversations a month, and you want a chatbot to deflect common questions before a human sees them. The Free and Starter tiers are built for exactly that.

When it doesn't

It stops making sense once your site gets real, growing traffic. Every tier meters conversations, per-seat pricing compounds the cost as your team grows, and the jump from Growth to Plus is steep enough that multiple founders cite it as the reason they left.

Common questions

What happens when I hit Tidio's conversation limit?

You need to upgrade to the next tier. The caps aren't overage-billed, they're hard limits: Free at 50/mo, Starter at 100/mo, Growth at 2,000/mo. There's no way to pay a bit more for a bit more volume within a tier.

Is Lyro AI included in the paid plans?

No. Lyro is sold separately starting at $39/mo for 50 AI-handled conversations, on top of whatever base plan you're on. A Growth plan plus Lyro runs $98/mo before adding a second seat.

Why is the jump from Growth to Plus so large?

There's no tier between them. Growth tops out at 2,000 conversations/mo for $59/seat, and the next option, Plus, starts at $749/mo with custom volume. Sites that outgrow Growth have no intermediate step.

Does Bubblegram cap conversations the way Tidio does?

Not the way Tidio does. Bubblegram's Free plan includes 100 conversations/mo (double Tidio's free cap), and Pro is fully unlimited. Free supports 1 site, Pro supports up to 10, and there's no per-message billing on either.

How does Tidio's total cost compare to Bubblegram for a growing team?

A 3-person team on Tidio Growth with moderate AI usage lands around $200/mo. Bubblegram Pro is $10/mo flat regardless of team size or message volume, though it doesn't include a chatbot or ecommerce integrations.
