Chatwoot's pricing makes sense if you want full data ownership and have the ops capacity to run Docker, Postgres, and Redis, or if you need a genuine multichannel inbox and are willing to pay per agent for a hosted version. Either way, you're getting a complete support platform, not just a chat widget.
When it doesn't
It stops making sense if you only want Telegram-routed chat. Self-hosting trades a license fee for real maintenance time, and Cloud's per-agent pricing on Business or Enterprise gets expensive fast for a team that just wants replies to land somewhere they already check.
