Intercom pricing: what you'll actually pay

Last updated October 19, 2026

Intercom charges for two things: seats and AI resolutions. Each teammate is a paid seat, and Fin costs $0.99 every time it resolves a conversation.

For a support team, that can be good value. Fin is strong, and you only pay when it works. For a founder or a small team, it adds up fast, and the bill changes with your traffic.

If you mainly need live chat, email, and AI for common questions, Bubblegram does that for $9/mo flat. Start free, no card needed.

The bottom line

When Intercom's pricing makes sense

Intercom is worth it for a support team that needs ticketing, a help center, SLAs, and an AI agent that resolves a large share of questions. Fin only charges when it actually resolves something, which is fair if it saves you a hire.

When it doesn't

It's a lot for a founder or a two-person team. Seats and resolutions both grow with you, so the bill is hard to predict, and much of the product goes unused.

Common questions

How much does Intercom cost per month?

Essential is $29 per seat a month, Advanced $85, and Expert $132. Fin AI adds $0.99 for every conversation it resolves. One person with 100 Fin resolutions pays about $128/mo.

Is there a free Intercom plan?

No. There's a 14-day free trial. Early-stage startups can apply for up to 93% off and a year of Fin for free.

What counts as a Fin resolution?

A conversation Fin handles without a human taking over. You're only charged when that happens, at $0.99 each.

How does Intercom compare to Bubblegram on price?

Bubblegram is flat: Starter is $9/mo with 500 AI credits, Pro is $29/mo with 2,000, with no seats and no per-resolution fees. Intercom does much more, so compare it on what you'll actually use.
